Parshas Tzav-Shabbos HaGadol (5772)
by Mordechai Dolinsky

In our parshas we have the elaborate dedication of the Mishkan. This can be appreciated considering that the Mishkan had the awesome mechanism to deliver the sacrifices of Klal Yisroel to Hashem.

Appreciating this even more deeply, the korbanos really signified the Klal Yisroel actually sacrificing themselves, their living bodies, to Hashem. How awesome. Such a mechanism and responsibility.

Shabbos HaGadol — On Shabbos we are mekabel strength and hashpaah for the following week. This week, lail Pesach, we receive the greatest gift of the revelation of Hashem for the whole year; indeed–Shabbos HaGadol. Let’s connect to Hashem and yetzias Mitzrayim and make ourselves a kli for this precious gift.

Have a wonderful Shabbos.

Vayikra 4:22 — It is difficult to understand Rashi’s explanation “asher Nasi yecheta” –lucky is the nation whose leader sins? Yes, lucky is the nation whose leader is honest and open and publicly admits his mistakes.

Parshas HaChodesh, its essence and significance is that starting from Rosh Chodesh we must start our spiritual preparations for Pesach; make a seder in the Hagdaddah and learning Chazal on yetzias mitzrayim.

Klaal Yisroel suffered a great loss this week with the passing of Morein Rebeinu HaGaon R’ Chayim Pinchas Scheinberg zt”l the Rosh Yeshiva of all. He truly manifested “chacham lev yikach mitzvos”.

Have a good Shabbos and a good Chodesh.

Parshas Vayakail-Pekudei (5772)
by Mordechai Dolinsky

Rashi points out in the first pasuk of the parshas Vayakail Moshe–that Moshe did not gather the people with any force, rather they came of their own inspiration . What a lesson–thousands of years ago when you would think a leader would use physical force, the mentality of Klal Yisroel even at that time was inspiration and self-motivation. Let’s be inspired today to serve Hashem by our own recognition of the malchus Shomayim and it will bring bracha for ourselves and all Klal Yisroel.

Parshas Tetzaveh-Parshas Zachor (5772)
by Mordechai Dolinsky

The question is asked why the name of Moshe Rabeinu is not mentioned in the parsha. Perhaps we can say that the subject matter is of such kedusha that Moshe Rabeinu, in order to relate this, had to be on such a high level with his connection to Hashem it is considered as if he lost his own personal identity.

An awesome insight regarding Amalek became clear. Rashi 25:27 says Zachor–what is there to remember? If you are deceitful in monetary dealings then you have the right to be worried and concerned regarding retribution from the wicked amalek. There are so many spiritual issues that we can feel greatly guilty of that could have brought the punishment of being attacked by amalek…

Have a wonderful Shabbos and a significant Shabbos Zachor.
