29:31/33—Leah named Reuven to commemorate and declare Hashem’s focusing on her despair. By Shimon sensed and heard her rejection. These are the names of the shvatim and the ideal of Klal Yisroel—concern and sensitivity to our fellow man.

Have a wonderful Shabbos.

The theme of the parsha is the sheker, falsehood and darkness of Esav which still permeates the world and is directed to and effects Klal Yisroel. How much we have to have a tremendous fear that our mentality is effected.

Have a wonderful Shabbos.

Perhaps the major inspiration from the parshas is to be sensitive to the signs of being led by HaShem through the hashgacha pratis especially in these shaky dark times.

Have a wonderful Shabbos.

Avraham Avinu received the guests as coarse merchants but related to their words as great prophets. At what point did Avraham realize their true identity? 18:16 Rashi says to escort them as coarse wayfarers to the very end. He obviously valued their words through the concept of hashgacha pratis, everything is from Hashem, on the highest level. A great inspiration for us all.

Have a wonderful, inspiring Shabbos.
