After Eisav having gone astray, Yaakov had to bring to the surface the Eisav side that he had within him and assume the responsibility of the new role.  When he rolled the stone, having arrived at Charan, he was showing that he had that strength.  Likewise his working for Lavan all those years he exhibited this side.  Lavan was hoping to bring this out more by presenting him with Lea who was really meant for Eisav hoping that their offspring would manifest the wicked and the wrong.  Yaakov harnessed this power for the epitome of good and produced Klal Yisroel.

Until this very day we must harness these tendencies for good.

Have a wonderful Shabbos.

Yitzchok Avinu one of the greatest pillars of Klal Yisroel is deceived about Esav.  As the galus continues and the darkness is intensified how much we must cry to Hashem for insight to the truth and for the strength to fulfill it.

Have a wonderful Shabbos.

In the episode of Eliezer’s endeavor to find a zivug for Yitzchok and thus the foundation of Klal Yisroel on one hand it appears smooth.  However, with greater observation one can observe the subtle attempts of Lavan to sabotage.  Such a significant message today to be sensitive to the subtle  destructive forces around us.

Have a wonderful Shabbos and a redeeming Chodesh.

Avraham Avinu, the founder of Klal Yisroel centered in fulfilling his true purpose of being in this world.  How much we must pray to Hashem for Divine assistance to be guided for the insight of the manifestation of the essence of the purpose of our coming into this world.  It is the greatest blessing we can give each other and it is the important tefilah we can ask Hashem for.

Have a wonderful Shabbos.

Perhaps we can explain that Hashem destroys the good together with the bad for promiscuous actions for not exerting their positive influence and the inevitable negative effect it has on them.  This has special meaning in our times.

Have a wonderful Shabbos.

Rashi (32:10) explains that we faithfully committed ourselves to the Torah; to be loyal subjects under His royal kingdom, to commit ourselves to be under a serious, responsible submission. We were created with the instinct to be under a yoke—to be under a true Higher power–malchus—and be of a true ideal—Torah.

Have a wonderful, fulfilling first Shabbos and all the blessings of a gmar chasimah tova.

How do we fulfill our obligation of proclaiming and relating to Hashem as a king as we are missing an image of real kingship as a role model. We are lacking the pomp and grandeur of royalty but we have the manifestation of true malchus seen through the Hashgacha Pratis in our lives. If one uses his capabilities of deep thinking he will see that this is the truest manifestation of kingship.

This, our last of the year, have a wonderful, meaningful, beautiful Shabbos, and a ksiva v’chasima tova.

Here we are approaching and getting closer to Rosh Hashanah, and our parsha dealing with the foundation of foundations; gratitude. “Arami Oved Avi” – in gratitude we go to the roots, the foundation, the truth of the thanks and the realization and the basis of the truth of thanks.

Cry to Hashem to be worthy to see the truth.

Have a wonderful Shabbos.

(21:23) The deep concept of leaving the corpse hanging (see Rashi) is that we attribute bad to Hashem, and it is really a result of our own wrongdoings as we see in the parsha of Haazinu.

To lift ourselves in Elul we should daven especially Shacharis, with inspiration and a “kol” and undertake a small improvement in some area.\

Have a wonderful Shabbos.

We are at the onset of Chodesh Elul designated for a commitment for self-improvement and supreme inspiration. How can we be realistic in accomplishing this, especially with the failures so contemporarily prevalent.

The solution we can find in the Chazal in our Medrash 5:8 which is a ruchnius nuclear explosion. “All those that put their absolute trust in Hashem receive the Divine powers of Hashem.”

Have a good week and an inspiring, successful Elul.
